The past week...

Hi everyone!
Well, we've had quite a week on the lockout line -between the rain, wind and sudden bursts of sunshine, we've learned a lot about layering and creative ways to stay positve (we now more about eachothers lives than one would think possible!).
Last weekend's Lockout Barbecue was great success! I've attached some pictures of the event. On the top are two fabulous local musicians and CBC favourites. Broek Bosma (violin) and Raghu Lokanathan (accordion) entertained the crowd. James Evans (Daybreak co-host) is cooking up some tasty treats for the crown on the bottom lefthand picture. That's me -pregnant and picketing in the top right!
Thanks to all of you who came out- we had almost eighty people on site throughout the afternoon, giving us good cheer and support -Thank you!
The CBC and the CMG (our union) are now negotiating -hopefully we will have great news for you soon. In the mean time, thanks for all your support and kindness.

Cheers,

Andrea Palmer

Sixteen hours on the lonely Cariboo Highway each week without my regular CBC voices is killing me.

Unlock the doors and let the airwaves out!

Hey Andrea and all CBC fans,

You can grape and wine all you like, but let's make your voices heard!

Bring yourselves to the Farmers' market on Saturday morning, Sept 17th, and sign your name on a postcard to tell the government that you want CBC back on the air!

If you sign, you will get a delicious grape treat.

See you Saturday!
